OUR TIPS
Trip Tips in the Area
We selected places in Karlovy Vary and nearby that we truly recommend. Every tip is easy to reach and great for a pleasant day during your stay.
Goethe Lookout
This is our favorite viewpoint and a great tip for a beautiful walk. There is no cable car to this spot, so it is less crowded than other viewpoints. Walk through the spa forests and, on the way, visit Three Crosses or Otto's Viewpoint. There is a cafe at the top and entry is free.
Thermal Pool 38°C
Bring your swimwear, especially in winter. It is a fantastic experience to bathe in truly warm mineral water while enjoying views of the whole city. There is also a sauna complex, summer terrace and garden. Entry is more expensive than usual, but it is definitely worth it.
Park and Viewpoint at Charles IV
Following the Jean de Carro path, you reach a quiet park with a beautiful viewpoint and a memorial column with the statue of the city's founder, King Charles IV. It is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy city views. In the lower area you can also see the famous Cat statue and the unique Villa Lutzow.
Deer near Hotel Richmond
The original deer statue, originally intended for Deer Jump, was eventually placed in the park behind Hotel Richmond. It is slightly hidden, but worth discovering on a walk. At Hotel Richmond you can enjoy homemade strudel and visit the Japanese garden.
Caffee Mala dvorana
Most visitors know Grandhotel Pupp, but only few know this unique bar and cafe outside the main building, right behind the reception. The cafe is open also to non-resident guests and is well worth a visit. Discover the spirit of the place and the atmosphere of earlier times.
Svaty Linhart Game Reserve
This large forest and game reserve area borders the spa center and offers a unique quiet zone. You can watch wildlife and walk here all day. It is ideal for family trips outside the city center, with the feeling of a mountain hike through forest trails.
